As part of the Australia Day cerebrations, the local shire organised an adventure race. Participants have to compete in a number of races including kayaking, mountain biking, and abseiling. The local SES Unit was responsible for running the abseiling leg of the race. It also gave me the opportunity to try out a descending device that I have never used before.
