was most puzzling that even at 10880 ft, Selden Pass was swamped with millions
of mosquitoes

twin Sallie Keyes Lakes in which the JMT passes in between of... here is
another of the many very scenic places along our journey

short detour from the JMT to Muir Trail Ranch to pick up our final resupply
package... for here it's all the way to Whitney Portal without resupply

a suitable campsite for the night and we rendezvoused at the Piute Creek
Bridge; here at the crossing, Pavilion Dome dominates the landscape
