beer fence
from the mid 1980s until May 2004, research on feral camels was conducted at Newhaven; the fence decorated with beer cans is the remains of a paddock used for researching on camel ecology during this period, the beer cans were strung on the top wire of the fence to provide a visible sight line in an attempt to minimise damage to the fence by the camels
