  pokalde
the ridge ascending from the pass leads northwards to Kongma Tse and southwards to Pokalde

  looking down
looking westwards down from the pass, the rocky moraine of the Khumbu Glacier stands out like a long aircraft runway; the peaks of the Lobuche massive and the Lobuche Glacier be well identified

  lobuche
the settlement of Lobuche, a very busy place during the high trekking season

  yummy
our very first teahouse meal... here at Lobuche after 26 days in Nepal

  snowing
it started snowing again soon after reaching Lobuche turning a once brown landscape stark white!

  feeling cold?
with it's thick fur coat, the yak is most at home even as it snows
