  heading south down the Bhote Koshi Valley towards Thame, the trail crosses numerous grazing grounds

  the settlement of Tarngga seems deserted as we passed it, as most o the residents have already moved to lower altitudes for the coming winter  
  
  
   
  dust storm  
  winds were strong on this day, blowing up much dust from the loose steep slopes

  finally reaching the treeline... the very first tree after such a long time... to be seen at the northern end of Thyangmoche

  it was quite an effort climbing from Thame getting to the gompa

  historically significant being one of the two original monasteries in the Khumbu region, the other being the famous monastery at Tengboche  
  
  
   
  warmth
