The
first day was essentially theory lessons on topics such as:
- The
history of mountaineering in China - which gave a very
interesting insight to the turmoil and achievements of the
Chinese in mountaineering history
- Basic
mountaineering first aid – which covered topics such as:
acute mountain sickness, frost bites and cold injuries,
trauma and fractures, evacuation, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation
- Introduction
to personal gear, technical snow and ice equipment, and
basic knots.
- Introduction
to fitness and physical training – which covers theory of
fitness and exercise physiology, to an exemplary fitness
training program schedule
