Less idyllic in appearance than Lily Beach, Ethel's narrow and rocky shoreline is still worth an exploration. The tall cliffs with overhanging Pandanus gives this place a more claustrophobic feel, but this is a great place to snorkel as a wonderful reef lies just beyond the shoreline. |

Carpet of Red | ||||
During the annual Red Crab migration, Ethel Beach is one of the best places to witness the spawning of eggs by the female crabs. A most specatacular carpet of red crabs cover almost every inch of the beach as they the female crabs take turns to dip themselves into the sea to spawn. |
