Less idyllic in appearance than Lily Beach, Ethel's narrow and rocky shoreline is still worth an exploration. The tall cliffs with overhanging Pandanus gives this place a more claustrophobic feel, but this is a great place to snorkel as a wonderful reef lies just beyond the shoreline.

  Carpet of Red

During the annual Red Crab migration, Ethel Beach is one of the best places to witness the spawning of eggs by the female crabs. A most specatacular carpet of red crabs cover almost every inch of the beach as they the female crabs take turns to dip themselves into the sea to spawn.
